Clarify the effect of the pasturage, clearing by burning, and mowing to the vegetation on Miscanthus type semi-natural grassland, and develop the proper technology to maintain and to use the grassland.
Site Outline
The site is located on the northern soma of Mt. Aso, Kumamoto prefecture, central Kyushu. It has approximately 5 hectares in total, composed by Miscanthus type semi-natural grassland, sown grassland and secondary broadleaved forest.
